Hi, I'm Jason
A little about my training, my background, and how I work with clients.
A bit about my background
I trained in person-centred counselling because I believe that being genuinely heard, understood and accepted can make a meaningful difference when we're struggling.
My role isn't to tell you what you should do or to assume that I know what's best for you. Instead, I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental relationship where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
Every person comes to counselling with a different story, and I believe the counselling relationship should reflect that. I therefore aim to work alongside you as an individual rather than trying to fit you into a particular box.
I have completed a Foundation Degree in Counselling and am continuing my professional development through further study and training. Alongside my counselling training, I have experience working within the care and support sector, supporting people with a range of individual needs.
I am an Individual Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its ethical framework. I also hold Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance for my counselling practice.
