How your personal information is handled by SAIB Counselling.
Data Protection
SAIB Counselling is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as required for data protection purposes. Personal information is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. I do not sell your personal information, and your counselling information will not be used for marketing purposes.
As a BACP Individual Member, I work within the BACP's ethical framework, which includes clear standards on confidentiality and record-keeping. There are narrow exceptions where information may need to be shared, such as where required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm.
A fuller Privacy Notice, covering what information is collected, how long it is retained, and your rights under UK data protection law, will be published here in due course.
